Thanks for visiting MUMC on the web!
After being appointed as Pastor in June of 2011, I've quickly fallen in love with the people of MUMC. They have welcomed my family into their family with open arms (and open gardens too).
The MUMC family is a warm community of authentic people who are intentional about following Jesus as closely as we can in the journey of faith. This intention is expressed in our weekly worship (upreach), our study and application of Jesus' teachings (inreach), our mutual care and support of one another along the journey (across-reach), and in how we welcome others and work to relieve suffering in Jesus' name (outreach).
We are a church extending our reach up, in, across, and out! We welcome prospective members and guests who are eager to extend their reach with us and join us in the journey of following Jesus. Our church family includes all ages and stages from Forsyth, Fulton, Cherokee, and Hall counties.
We have a variety of worship services available every Sunday morning:
8:30 - Traditional worship with choir, hymns, and piano in our historic chapel
9:45 - Modern worship in the sanctuary with music led by a band; includes Holy Communion each week
11:00 - Contemporary worship in the sanctuary with a praise band/vocalists singing contemporary Christian music
We also have Sunday School for all ages at 9:45 a.m.
During the week our spacious campus hosts many outreach programs for families such as:
Wee Wonder Pre-School
Fun Kidz Before/After School Care
Boy Scout Troop 457
Cub Scout Pack 457
American Heritage Girls Troop 457
"Sunday Night Live" program for middle- and high-school youth
The education wing of our campus has two stories of classrooms, a full-sized gymnasium, a commercial kitchen and dining area for church suppers and events, a newly-renovated youth room and a library. Outside, you'll find a BBQ pavilion and full playground.
With all that Midway has going on year 'round, there's plenty of room for you! So enjoy your visit to our website to learn more about the church. I invite you to visit our campus this Sunday, where you'll find smiling faces and hearts ready for worship. I look forward to meeting you!
Until then ...
The Lord be with you,
Rev. Stacey Hanson
