Lee Almy facilitates the Pastor's Class, rotating every eight to ten weeks. This will give the pastors the opportunity to be involved in facilitating a class as well as attend other classes. Lee is currently leading a study: "What does it mean to be United Methodist?" Everyone is invited to this class; however, it may be particularly interesting to new Christians and for those who may be new to the United Methodist Church. The Pastors' Class will meet in the Library, Room 201. The Living Room (College and Career Class) This class is designed for the after high-school to the twenty-something age group experiencing the transient nature inherent in this stage of life: Graduating high school, going to college, finishing school, starting a career, living out your faith, going to grad school, dating, questioning what you believe, breaking up, relocating, living on your own, hating your job, moving back in with your parents, getting engaged, getting married, changing careers -- this is all in the first few years of living in the "real world." In a time of life where nothing seems certain, we want to provide "Spiritual Permanence for Transient People." We are living out this vision by creating a Sunday school class where young adults can learn and live the teaching of Jesus and have a place where authentic friendships can emerge and grow. Facilitators are Ginny Tibbetts and John Crane. Current study book is Balance: Living with Life's Demands, which explores fairness, equality, righteousness and justice, as well as internal balance.
