Welcome to Adult Ministries at Midway UMC
What are you seeking at church? Midway UMC offers a range of programs for adults of all ages to worship, learn, serve and nurture.
Adult Programs
Wednesday Night Adult Bible Studies Adult Bible Sturdies are held after the 5:30 Wednesday night supper at 6:30. The group meets upstairs in the Fellowship Classroom in the education wing.
The studies are set up so that individuals can join the group at any time. Debbie Haney leads this group. She can be reached at calvinhaney@bellsouth.net.
Adult Choir The choir performs at most 8:30 services as part of our traditional worship service. There are at least two special music programs each year. All interested individuals (high school to adult) are invited to join the adult choir family. No experience is necessary, only a love of God and a desire to make a joyful noise. Come to a rehearsal and try us out. We meet weekly on Wednesdays, 7:30-9:00 pm in the Choir Room (upper floor of Education building across from the Youth Room). Practices are not held during the month of July.
Praise Band Midway's Praise Band, led by musical director Jane Scudder, is a group of singers and musicians who lead the weekly 10:30 contemporary service. Enthusiasm and prior musical experience is a must. Rehearsals are held on Wednesdays from 9 to 10 pm in the Sanctuary. For information on the audition process, contact Jane Scudder at jmscud@bellsouth.net.
