It's time again for the Children's Consignment Sale. We are one of the most established sales in the North Atlanta area! You can buy and sell children's toys, outdoor toys, books/movies, clothes, (Spring and summer only for this sale), furniture, accessories, and maternity too!

Consignment Information and How to Become a Consignor: Consignors receive 70% of the sale price. The remaining 30% is a tax deductible donation that goes to benefit Midway United Methodist Children's Ministries. The only cost to consign is a $7 fee (cash or check accepted) which provides you with a packet containing instructions, tags, and a consignor ID number with item numbers and price labels - all bar coded! Consignors also get to shop before the public sale dates (Wed, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM). If you would like to consign with us, please sign up in person at the church on one of the following round up dates:

General instructions for Consignor: Here are some basic instructions:
- Use only the card color you have been issued - No photo copies.
- Use the numbered bar codes on the primary tag only.
- Use "extra tags" on additional items / parts; not as the primary tag.
- Do not alter bar code labels.
- Use only one price label per tag.
- All items will be sold at ½ price on Saturday unless you write "Full Price Only" in red ink on top of the tag.
- Return unused tagging supplies during drop off or the preview sale. We recycle to cut costs.
- Bag Loose Toys. Use packing tape to adhere tag to item.

What to Sell:
- Current style and appropriate season children's clothing (less than 2 yrs old) in EXCELLENT condition.
- Children's toys, Baby and Nursery accessories, furniture, shoes - new and unscuffed condition (limit 5 pair), and car seats (NOTE: please ensure that if the car seat has an expiration date, it is not within 6 months of current sale.
- Sports equipment, outdoor and indoor playyards, ride on Toys and bikes, books, movies, puzzles and games (in working order with all pieces included).
- Stuffed animals in excellent condition only (limit 5).
- Maternity clothes (limit 15 pieces).
Guidelines:
- Minimum of 25 items to participate.
- Only one seller per ID number.
- Consignors receive 70% of the sales price and a tax donation receipt for the 30% donated to the church.
- We will do our best to protect your items; however, we cannot be responsible for missing, damaged, or incorrectly tagged items.
- Price your items conservatively. Items in excellent condition sell for about 1/3 the retail price. Price items in 50 cent increments only (lowest selling price is 50 cents). We reserve the right to refuse any questionable items. Clothes must be laundered and ironed with no holes, stains, missing buttons, broken zippers or unpleasant odors, (for example; smoke, mothballs, mildew.).
- The sale is for children's items only. We cannot accept household items. (Examples include dishes, pots and pans, coffee makers, dust busters).
How to prepare your merchandise:
How to hang and attach the bar coded tag is illustrated below:
- Ensure that your items are tagged appropriately and securely to avoid loss. Any items that are submitted for sale that do not have your consignor ID bar code on them will be assigned a donation code for the church and will be sold under the church's donation number.
- Ensure that your items are priced using a bar coded price label. Any merchandise that does not have a price will be returned to the consignor as unsaleable merchandise.
- Use only the preprinted tags given to you. Cut them on the heavy black lines (9 per sheet).
- Circle the item category at the top of the tag (Boy, Girl, Toy, etc.).
- Write the size (if applicable) and a brief description of the item (in case the tag falls off).
- Since the ID labels are printed two per sticker, cut the ID & Item number label so that each label has your ID # and one sequential Item number.
- Place one ID & Item number bar code label and a price label (no handwritten prices) in the designated space on the tag (left side is the consignor number and right side is the price label). Use only one bar code label for each item submitted. DO NOT ALTER BAR CODES.
- Circle on the bottom of the tag to "Yes or No" donate unsold clothing/items.
- If you do not want the item to sell ½ price on Saturday: Use Red Ink. Write FULL PRICE ONLY next to the price on the bottom of the tag and circle the price. Safety pin the tag to the LEFT shoulder of the clothing.
- Clothing must be on hangers facing left. Safety pin all skirts, pants, and shorts to the TOP arm of hangers. (see example above).
- Use the EXTRA TAG for any item with multiple parts. Write in your ID# and the same Item number as the first piece. Do not use a different bar code. At the bottom of the EXTRA TAG, fill in "2 of 3", "3 of 3" etc. for all the pieces. On the original tag write: "1 of _____".
- If you have a two (or more) piece clothing set, safety pin additional item of the set to the TOP arms of hanger. Use the EXTRA TAG for each additional item in a set as described above.
- Group small items together in a plastic bag. Securely tape the tag to the bag. Tape the bag shut to ensure that no pieces are lost. Use the EXTRA TAG for any items with multiple parts (shoes, toys, etc).
- Shoes should be fastened together with a large safety pin and a tag taped inside the RIGHT shoe. Small shoes may be placed in Ziploc bags with the tag taped to the outside of the bag.
- Separate boys and girls clothing and group by size prior to dropping off.
All items will be sold ½ price on Saturday UNLESS you write "FULL PRICE ONLY" in red ink on the bottom of the tag and circle the price in red ink.
If you are donating your unsold items, please circle YES on the bottom of the tag.
Receiving / Drop off of items is by appointment only:
Monday and Tuesday (the week of the sale)

Be sure to allow enough time to drop off your items, as we will inspect items for acceptable quality. To expedite drop off, please separate boys and girls clothing and group by size. Please help us by inspecting your items carefully before you bring them in.
Pick up of unsold items:
Sunday, March 16, 2008 12:30 PM - 2:30 PM
Any items not picked up by 2:30 pm on Sunday will become the property of Midway UMC Consignment Committee. Following pick up on Sunday, we will open our doors to the needy in our community. We regret that if you attempt to claim your items after 2:30 PM, they will no longer be available.
